General Information

Courts:
We have 9 courts, 3 of which are American Clay and 7 courts have floodlights to allow all year round play.
Tennis Balls:
Apart from club organised activities eg. Social mornings/evenings, match practice where balls are provided, please provide your own tennis balls. Discounted tennis balls cost £6 for 4 new, or ex-match balls from £1. Available from the bar or speak to Simon or Trina. There are ex-match balls for sale at good prices.
Floodlights:
Tokens cost £4 for an hour, available from Simon or Trina. Instructions are sited above the token box but please ask if not sure how to use it.
Clubhouse access code:
This will be made known to all new adult members. Please keep this information safe and if you suspect any misuse, please contact one of the committee members.
Guests:
Guests are very welcome. Members can bring guests to play. Their name and address should be logged on the visitors book residing on the bar in the clubhouse. Guests pay a court fee of £4 per visit (adults) and £2 (junior), which should be placed in the “hole in the wall” at the end of the bar.
Guests are allowed to play 3 times in a season. If they decide to join, the money already collected from them will be deducted from their subscriptions if registered in the visitors’ book. Guests are entitled to use all of the clubs facilities. Members are responsible for the behaviour and safety of their guests. All guests have a responsibility to adhere to the rules of the club.
Pay and Play:
Pay & Play is available for non-members between 12 & 4pm Monday to Friday, weekends 10am to 4pm for £8 an hour for a hard court between April and September, reducing to £5 for October to March.
Footwear:
All shoes worn on the courts shall be recognised tennis footwear. This is for two reasons; ‘other’ shoes can mark and damage the courts and non-tennis shoes do not grip the court as well and can cause accidents and avoidable injury. The clay courts are particularly sensitive to damage and tennis shoes only should be worn on these courts at all times.
Court Booking Sheet:
We are a busy club so avoid disappointment by using the court booking sheet. This can be found by the floodlit box and courts can be booked from 6pm April-August and from 4pm September-March, and weekends from 9am to 4pm all year.
Clubhouse:
The clubhouse is a wonderful facility for members to meet, relax and watch tennis. Food and drinks are regularly available. We try to keep the clubhouse as presentable as possible at all times, so encourage members to do the same. Monthly activities and tournaments are posted in the clubhouse. Check the members’ board for frequent updates.
Clubhouse Hire:
The clubhouse is available for hire for parties, meetings and other events by members. Minimum hire fee is £50 and per-head rates are also available. Refreshments can be brought in or arranged through the club and we can organise for the bar to be staffed and corkage can also be agreed.
